- On this occasion India’s first Conservation Assured Tiger Standards CA/TS) accreditation award was presented to the Lansdowne Forest Division of Uttarakhand.
- According to Tiger Population Data (2016-2017) a minimum of around 208 tigers have been indentified in Jim Corbett National Park while Rajaji Tiger Reserve is home to 34 tigers.
