  • On November 6, 2017, India has been pledged an additional amount of USD 100 million to the India-UN Development Partnership Fund at United Nations Pledging Conference for Development Activities held in New York.
  • This announcement was made by Anjani Kumar, Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of India to the UN.
  • This contribution will be in addition to India’s contribution of 10.582 million dollars in other UN programs.
  • During the conference almost 20 countries assured the contribution of USD 398.38 million in this fund.
  • The India-UN Development Partnership Fund was launched on occasion of the World Oceans Day at a special ceremony held at the Permanent Mission of India to the UN.
  • ClimateEarly Warning System in Pacific Island Countries‘ was the first project get assistance by this fund.
